The Statistics Department supports evidence-based planning and decision-making at Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly, in line with the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
Vision: To provide reliable, responsive statistical services in support of good governance and development in the Municipality.
Mission: To collect, manage and disseminate quality local-level statistics, based on national standards, for evidence-based planning and decision-making.
The department’s functions include collecting and analysing data using standardised formats, publishing statistical reports, supporting the preparation of the Assembly’s budget and development plans, coordinating statistical surveys within the Municipality, and promoting statistical literacy among staff and residents.
