Sensitization meeting to reduce/end Restricted Gender Norms and Women in Decision Making was organized by Feed the Future Resilience in Ghana Systems Strengthening and supported by the Municipal Gender Desk Officer was held on 29th July,2024 at the Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly for sub-structures and non State Actors from 9 communities namely Tampene Kukuo, Kpene, Wovoguma, Nanton Kpawumo, Kulyevilla, Garizegu,Sanga and Shigu.
Objective of the training is to
*Reduce/end Restricted Gender Norms that deprive women in decision making
*To promote gender equality and equity to address issues like marginalization of women, stereotypes, violence against women, children, girls, PWDs and the marginalized tribes (Fulbis)
*To enable participants reflect on how restrictive norms perpetuating food and nutrition insecurity and development challenges,
*To enable participants challenge restrictive gender norms and act together to creat more equitable environment to build support for all.
